Civil Service retiree HARLEM, Ga. - Mrs. Ruby Boatwright Johnson, 86, wife of the late Allen C. Johnson, entered into rest, Thursday, Janu- ary 22, 2009. Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM, Sunday, January 25, 2009, in the Harlem Memorial Cemetery with the Dr. Thomas Drake officiating. Mrs. Johnson was born in Laurens County to the late George and Gertrude Boatwright and was a retired Military Personnel Clerk with Civil Service. She was a member of Harlem United Methodist Church and had served as Children's Sunday school teacher, Wesleyan Service Guild, President of United Methodist Women, Disciple Bible Study, Communion Steward and Worship Committee Chairman. Survivors include her niece Kim (Charles) Crawford of Harlem; great-niece, Ashley Crawford; great-nephews, Cooper and Tyler Crawford; sister-in-law Betty Boatwright; two step-grandsons Bill (Stacey) Brown and Duane (Lori Beth) Brown; and two step great- grandchildren, Trevor and Ben Brown; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Bill Brown, Duane Brown, Cooper Crawford, Tyler Crawford, Mack Price, and Oran Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Waltons-Griffin Sunday School Class and Harlem United Methodist Women.
