EWING - Ruby Babin Moore Johnson, 97, of Ewing departed this life on Wednesday, Sept. 7 2011. Born in Hohen Solem, Louisiana, Ruby was educated in the New Orleans Public School System. She also attended the Xavier Extension School. She worked for the New Orleans Housing Authority for many years as a manager until the time of her retirement.Ruby was predeceased by her parents, Octavia Joseph and Louis Babin, Sr.; husbands, Alfred Charles Moore and Plas Johnson; one son, Alfred Jr. and 11 siblings. She is survived by one sister, Irene Babin of White Castle, LA; five children, Jacqueline Rubye Tolbert-Beverly (William) of Ewing, NJ, Kenneth Babin Moore (Marsha) of Galloway Twp., N.J., Lura Babin Smith (Robert) of Lowell, MA, Delores Moore Caldwell and Cora Lee Moore Porter both of Los Angeles, CA; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of relatives, friends and special friends Clara Wright and Ernestine Cosby. Homegoing Services will be Wednesday, September 14, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, 340 Rev. S. Howard Woodson Way, Trenton, N.J.Entombment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.Calling hours will be Wednesday 9 to 11 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made "In memory of Ruby B. Johnson" to Anchor House, 482 Centre St. Trenton, NJ 08611.Arrangements are by Campbell Funeral Chapel, Trenton.
