Homemaker MITCHELL, Ga. - Mrs. Ruby Bridges Johnson, 87, loving wife of the late Mr. Alton Boze Johnson, Sr., entered into rest Sunday, December 25, 2005 at the McDuffie Regional Medical Center, Thomson, GA. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. today at Friendship Baptist Church, Mitchell, with Rev. James King, Rev. Phillip Nichols and Rev. Bill Seaman officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Johnson was a native of Washington County, but lived in Glascock County most of her life and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Survivors are three sons, Billy (Lois) Johnson of Mitchell, Steven (Susan) Johnson of Chattanooga and Stan (Jane) Johnson of Wrens; two daughters, Betty Ann Smith of Tennelle and Bessie Mae Wilson of Harlem; one brother, Jewell Bridges of Sandersville; two daughters-in-law, Barbara Johnson of Mitchell and Elizabeth Johnson of Augusta; 20 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Johnson was preceded indeath by three sons, Alton Johnson, Roy Johnson and Boze Johnson, Jr. Pallbearers are grandsons. Sheppard Funeral Home, Gibson, GA. is in charge of arrangements.
