GOODWIN, Roy "Papa" 84, of Clearwater, went to Heaven on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008. Born in Vossburg, MS, he came here in 1948. He was a veteran of the Navy and served in WWII. He worked for the Clearwater Fire Department for 35 years and retired in 1985 as Assistant Chief. He was a Presbyterian and former deacon of Peace Memorial Church. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Joan; 2 sons, Scott, Gregg and wife, Shari; and 4 grandchildren, Jeff, Tim, Kevin, and Jenny, all of Clearwater; and a sister, Wilhelmina, of Rosehill, MS.
