ROY CLIFTON BEAL GRIFFITH, IN Roy Clifton Beal, age 85, of Griffith passed away Sunday March 16, 2014 at Community Hospital in Munster, IN. Roy was born April 29, 1928 in Nashville, TN to the late Johnnie and Fannie (Perry) Beal. He retired in 1996 as a supervisor from Enamel Products in Portage. Roy was a veteran of the U.S. Army and member of the Faith Mission Church in Portage, IN. Roy married Eva (Dunning) Beal in 1991. Eva preceded him in death in 2011. Also preceding Roy in death are: his first wife, Doris Ann Beal; his daughter, Anita McElhone; three brothers: Raymond, Sammie, and Willie Beal; and his sister, Willie Mae Sullivan. Roy is survived by two children: Michael (Alana) Beal of Peoria, IL and Marianne (Kevin) Shufford of Griffith; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; two stepdaughters: Jonell (George) Hudson of Griffith and Betty (Bert) Hudson of Venice, FL; a stepson, John (Betty) Clark of Dyer; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 21, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Faith Mission Church, 5093 Stone Ave., Portage, IN 46368 with Pastors Chuck and Minnie Munsell officiating. Burial will follow in McCool Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 2:00-8:00 PM at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage, IN 46368.
