Hull - Rosie Lee Anderson, 88, wife of the late Vaughn Anderson, died Sunday, November 13, 2011. Born in Oglethorpe, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Earl and Cora Rochester Gabriel. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, J.E. Gabriel, sisters, Maybelle Patton and Frances Gabriel and two grandchildren. She retired from Delmar and was a member of Joy Baptist Church and the Hannah Sunday School Class. Survivors include her children, Charles Edward (Laura) Anderson, Ray (Betty Jo) Anderson, Callie (John) Krause, Brenda (Marvin) Palmer, Patsy Chastain, Shirley (Robert) Billue; sister, Martha Witcher; 13 grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Joy Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Hope and Rev. Shannon Hayes officiating. Pallbearers will be Chuck Anderson, Von Anderson, John Colquitt, Chris Krause, Ethan Allen and Buddy Anderson, and great-grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Monday, November 14, 2011 at the funeral home. Lord & Stephens, East, Athens, is in charge of arrangements. www.lordandstephens.com
