WOLFEBORO<B> </B>;<B> </B>Rose J. Turgeon, 92, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, at the Sunbridge Care & Rehabilitation Center in Wolfeboro after a long period of failing health.Mrs. Turgeon was born in Yamaska, P.Q., Canada on July 22, 1915, the daughter of Noel and Rosealba (Leveille) Mondou and had been living in Wolfeboro for the past four years, moving from Rochester, where she lived for most of her life. She was a retired shoe worker and a communicant of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Rochester. She was a member of the St. Ann Sodality, a member of the Association Canado-Americaine, and enjoyed playing bingo at Sunbridge.Surviving members of the family include one son, Raymond L. Turgeon and one daughter, Irene Gerry and her husband, Norris, both of Rochester; three sisters, Antoinette Lafontain of Dover, Rose Saucier of Rochester and Lou Cantin of Somersworth. She also leaves seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to thank the staff of Sunbridge of Wolfeboro for their care and kindness.Visitation will be held at the H. J. Grondin & Son Funeral Home, 177 North Main St., Rochester, on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 189 North Main St., Rochester, with burial in the spring in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Cemetery.The family requests that memorial donations be sent to the Sunbridge of Wolfeboro, Activity Fund, 39 Clipper Drive, Wolfeboro, NH 03894.
