Rose Evelyn Parker (nee Kiernan) Munster/East Chicago Rose Evelyn Parker (nee Kiernan) age 88, of Munster, IN, formerly of East Chicago, IN, died on May 26, 2004 at the Hartsfield Village Care Center. Born July 7, 1915 to Michael and Evelyn (nee Kennedy) Kiernan. in East Chicago, IN. She is survived by one sister, Noreen Christoffel of Waukesha, WI; two sons, Dr. George (Kathleen) Parker of Munster, IN and Michael (Jacqueline) Parker of Indianapolis, IN, twin daughter Mary (Michael) Kallok of St. Paul, MN, son-in-law Robert Huppenthal of Dyer, IN; 12 grandchildren: Kyle, Amy and Lauren Parker, Kelly (Joseph) Gianoli, Molly Parker, Michael, Maureen and Meghan Kallok, Jacob (Jackie), Jeremy, Katie and Holly Huppenthal; six great grandchildren, Isaiah, Damien and Jacob Huppenthal, Parker and Connor Gianoli and Kiernan Parker. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by husband George J. Parker and twin daughter Rose Anne (Parker) Huppenthal, four sisters, Mary Kiernan, Ellen Blaney, Lucille Salmon and Eileen Davey and three brothers, John, James and George Kiernan. Rose was a member of St. Thomas More Church in Munster, was active in the Altar and Rosary Society and was a volunteer at The Community Hospital in Munster for many years. She belonged to Phi Epsilon Kappa Charter Chapter. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of the Calumet Area. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2004, 9:30 a.m. at Burns-Kish Funeral Home, 8415 Calumet Ave., Munster. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas More Church at 10 a.m., Fr. Michael Yadron Celebrating. Burial at Calvary Cemetery will be private. Friends may call at the funeral home MONDAY, May 31st, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a Wake Service at 3:00 p.m.
