ANNISTON — Services for Ms. Rose Marie Parker, 55, will be Saturday, October 11, 2008, at 1 p.m. at Parker Memorial Baptist Church in Eastaboga with the Rev. A.C. Bolton officiating and Anniston Funeral services in charge. The body will be at the church two hours prior to services. Ms. Parker died on October 6, 2008 at her residence. Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Virgini (Dina) Parker; her children, Stephanie, Gina, and Deon (Sybil); grandchildren, Kyndarius, Jaylin and Deonte; brothers, Larry (Leslie), Melvin (Nell), of Eastaboga, Jimmy (Brenda), of Talladega, and Toney, of Eastaboga; sisters, Julia Mae Parker, of Nashville, Tenn., Vassar (Leslie) Anderson, of Ponca City, Okla., Avis (The Rev. L.C.) Jackson, of Anniston; aunts, Carrie Mae Threatt, of Anniston, Minnie Mae Hines, Leola Terrry, Alma Parker, Ruth Parker, and Evonne Montgomery; uncles, The Rev. Matthew Parker and Deacon Osborne Rutledge; special cousin, Linda James; special friends, David Baker and Lora Humphrey. Ms. Parker was a Eastaboga native and Munford High School graduate, class of 1971 and joined the U.S. Air Force and honorably retired in 1992 with the rank of Staff Sergeant. She toured many cities throughout the United States including Korea and NATO Headquarters in Belgium. She was preceded in death by her father Deacon Jacob Isaac Parker.
