Rose Marie (Walukevich) Donnelly, age 92, died in the Thomas Upham House in Medfield, Massachusetts on Monday, January 26, 2015. Born in Walpole, Massachusetts on January 23, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Konstanty and Rozalia (Dziubaniuk) Walukevich. She was one of 6 and remained close to her siblings throughout her life. As children Rose and her family enjoyed taking vacations to Cape Cod and Lake Sebago in Maine. As a life long resident of Walpole, she graduated from Walpole High School with the class of 1940. Rose continued her education at the Boston City Hospital School of Nursing and graduated with the class of 1947. Rose began her nursing career at Boston City Hospital. After leaving Boston City Hospital, Rose continued her nursing at Norwood Hospital where she met her husband, Joe, while caring for his father. They were married in 1956 and had two children, Joey and Jack. As a young family they continued her childhood tradition of taking vacations to Cape Cod. Beloved wife of the late Joseph C. Donnelly. Loving mother of Joseph C. Donnelly, Jr. of Medfield and John T. "Jack" Donnelly and his wife Nancy Follansbee Donnelly of Medfield. Cherished grandmother of Andrew Donnelly of Boston and Hannah Donnelly of Medfield and Rosie Donnelly of Brookline. Sister of the late Jennie Kraw, the late Wanda Benkavitch, the late Anne Walukevich, the late Blanche Libertowicz, and the late Edmund Walukevich. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Rose's Life Celebration on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 from 5-8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole.
