Mrs. Rose Evelyn Davis, 87, Seymour, Mo., passed away Saturday, August 5, 2006, in Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Mo. She was a homemaker and longtime resident of Seymour. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth, of the home; a daughter, Rosalie Claxton and her husband, Victor, of Seymour, Mo.; a son, Bill Bartlett and his wife, Neta, of San Francisco, Calif.; four grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Joe Barton of Seymour, Mo.; a half brother, Pat Bains, State of Calif.; a brother-in-law, Glen Davis and his wife, Shirley, of Seymour, Mo.; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives and many friends. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2006, in Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Seymour. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery, north of Seymour. Visitation will be Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon Bible Ministry, in care of the funeral home at P.O. Box 366, Seymour, MO 65746.
