DAVIS Rose (Evans), 98, formerly of Clifton, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009. Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, she resided in Clifton before moving to Newark, DE five years ago. Rose was employed as a claims officer for the Motor Club of America in Newark, NJ for 31 years prior to her retirement in 1978. She is a member of the Allwood Community Church in Clifton and a member of the church's Women's Guild. Rose is predeceased by her husband, Paul H. Davis, by a daughter, Jean Davis Meinhold, by two brothers, Walter and Haydn Evans and by her sister, Florence Evans. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10AM Saturday at Allwood Funeral Home, 660-670 Allwood Road, Clifton followed by burial at Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Visiting will be Saturday morning 9AM to 10AM.
