Obituary of Rose Clark


Rose (Petronelli) Clark of West Yarmouth and formerly of Brockton died on September 22 at Cape Regency Nursing Center at the age of 96. She was the wife of the late Robert Clark. Rose was the daughter of Italian immigrants, Paul and Maria (Bulso) Petronelli. She was a successful business woman in Brockton and later on Cape Cod. For many years she owned and operated Romay Garments in Brockton and was a sample maker as well; designing and sewing garments. In addition to the garment business she was involved in real estate and owned many apartment buildings in Brockton and then on Cape Cod. The Rose Lodge in Hyannis was among the real estate she owned and operated. Rose worked right into her late 80s. Throughout her life she was a faithful Christian and served the Lord. She attended Living Hope Family Church in Hyannis for many years and hosted Bible Study groups in her homes in Brockton and West Yarmouth. Rose is survived by three sons; Donald Barry of West Yarmouth with whom she lived, Henry Barry Jr. of South America and John Clark of West Yarmouth, four brothers; Guido, Nicholas, Henry and Ronald Petronelli, two sisters; Eleanore Walsh and Lorraine Santora, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends and relatives are invited to call at the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth, MA on Thursday, September 27, 2012 from 10:00 A.M. with a funeral service to be held at 11:00 A.M. Burial in Chandler Gray Cemetery, West Yarmouth, MA.
