-> Rosa Mae Morgan, 57, died Thursday, May 8, 2003 at Candler Hospital after a brief illness. She was a native of Savannah and lived here most of her life. She was a member of First Union Baptist Church. She was employed as a presser at Rogers Laundry and enjoyed fishing. Survivors: her devoted husband, Richard B. Morgan, Jr.; two sons, Thomas and Arthur L. Baker; two brothers, Willie Kelson of Burton, SC and Leroy Smashum of Savannah; ten sisters, Catherine Shavers, Vanda T. Patton, Melrose Williams, Lula B. Chandler, Margaret Simpson, Juliette Williams, Ethel Hightower, Marie Woods, Patricia Bush, and Julia Smashum; eight grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 15 at Second Arnold Baptist Church. Pastor Archie Fields officiating. Mrs. Morgan will lie in state at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the service.
