WILLIAMS Rosa Lee Williams, 89, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away Friday, November 4, 2005 in Orange Park, FL. Born on October 17, 1916 in Eastman, GA, she had lived in the local area for the past 25 years, moving here from Valdosta, GA. Mrs. Williams was an active member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher. She was a member of the Clay County Extension Homemakers and Clay County Cooperative Extension Office; a volunteer with Food Pantry of Clay County prior to becoming Green Cove Springs. Rosa served many years in the service of the Lord with her previous husband, Rev. Henry P. Nelson (deceased) at New Bethel Baptist Church in Valdosta, GA where she will be interred. Survivors include her husband, Thomas C. Williams; sons, V. Pascal Nelson of Greensboro, NC, Paul L. Nelson of Irmo, SC; step-son, Wayne Hart of Orange Park, FL; step-daughter, Gayle Boltez of St. Augustine, FL; brother, Grady W. Vaughn of Eastman, GA; sisters, Dorothy Herr , Lydia Fitzkee and Nannie Weidman, all of Lancaster, PA and Marjorie Cannon of Savannah, GA; grandchildren, George P. Nelson, Tabitha R. Nelson, Reuben P. Nelson, Christopher P. Nelson, Michael D. Williams and Jonathan Boltez; 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2005 at Broadus-Raines & Pons Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2005 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Garrett A. Hays, Jr. officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Valdosta, GA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Hickory Grove Baptist Church Building Fund.
