COWPENS, SC-- Rosa Lee Jeffries Palmer, of 210 Smith Road, Cowpens, died on Saturday, November 11, 2006, in her home.Wife of Billy Dean Palmer, she was born in Cherokee County, a daughter of the late Frank and Carrie Makupson Jeffries.She was a member and Mother of True Holiness Church, Sunday School Teacher, Usher, Missionary, Deaconess, and a Sr. Choir member. She was also a member of The Gospel Harmonettes.Survivors include her husband, Billy Dean Palmer of the home; one son, James W. Wilson of Cowpens; two step-sons, Victor Dawkins (Linda) of Chesnee, and Jimmy Lipscomb (Laura) of Gaffney; two step-daughters, Theressa Lipscomb of Gaffney, and Kim Richardson of Utah, AZ; one brother, Carroll Wells of Cowpens; seventeen grandchildren, including four who were raised in the home, Christi Williams of Spartanburg, Teresa Wilson and James E. Wilson, both of Asheville, NC, and Lazarus Wilson of Spartanburg; and seventeen great-grandchildren.Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM in Island Creek Baptist Church with Dr. A. L. Brackett, Rev. Jacob Hunter, Rev. Lewis Davis, Dr. L. C. Rector, Rev. James Armstrong, Dr. J.W. Sanders, Sr. officiating, and Elder T.A. Lockhart delivering the eulogy.Burial will be in the Island Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
