BROWN, ROSA LEE, passed away Friday, July 18, 2008 at Baptist East Hospital. She was retired from Brooklawn Child & Family Services, member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, member and past president of Brooklawn Auxiliary, Christian Women's Club, Chapter 344 of the AARP and Church Women United. Preceded in death by her parents, Seth and Elenora Hord; her husband, Gordon L. Brown; and brother, Samuel Hord. She is survived by her children, Pat Walker, Gordon Stuart Brown, Judy Nelson, Beverly Stevens and Steve Brown; sister, Elenora Saylor; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Evergreen Funeral Home with interment at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday after 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Brooklawn Child & Family Services or Immanuel United Church of Christ.
