SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mrs. Rosa Ella Carter Smith, 52, of 418 Delmar Road, passed on Friday, January 12, 2007 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospital. She was the daughter of Mrs. Betty J. Carter and the late Mr. Samuel H. Carter. She was a member of the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.Survivors include one daughter, Ms. Tawana Charlotte Smith of Charlotte, NC; three brothers, Mr. Robert L. Carter, Mr. Samuel Carter, Jr. (Freida), and Mr. Nathaniel Carter, Sr. (Sheila) all of Spartanburg, SC. She also leaves behind a host of loving and caring aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.The family will receive friends at the home of her mother, Mrs. Betty J. Carter at 100 Ebell Court, Spartanburg, SC.Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. Pastor James Splawn will officiate.
