MCCORMACK, Ronald - It is with deep sadness that the family of Ronald Gregory McCormack, age 77 of Sarnia, announce that after a long and courageous battle with cancer passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 2, 2007. Beloved husband of Catherine of 55 years. Cherished father of Steve (Melinda), Ken (Linda), Susan (Dan Thompson), Joan (Jeff Rottman), James (Brenda) and Marg (Scott Beshara). Much loved Poppa of Mary, Jake, Adam, Rachael, Nathan, Alex, Annah, Josh, Emily, Jordan, Caden, Kali, Niki, Alexia, and Kristina. Dear brother of Al (Elsa), Hughie (Lorraine), Bernadette (Bernie Gillis), Robert (Rita), Ed (Carol), John (Pat) and sister-in-law Kay. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Catherine McCormack, his brothers Joe, Alex, Bill and sister Mary. Ron was a co-owner of McCormack's Barbershop on East Street with his brother Al and he was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 1256. In his retirement he enjoyed golfing at the Camlachie Golf Course with his many friends and working in his wood shop. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at ST. BENEDICT'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1011 Oak St., Sarnia. Come celebrate his life with our family at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia on Thursday evening from 4 to 8 p.m. Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m..
