ROBILLARD, Roger "Rocky" J. WWII Veteran Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on August 31, 2005 at the age of 81. Beloved son of the late William J. and Catherine Robillard, Roger was predeceased by his sister Lucile and his brother Maurice. He will be dearly missed by his loving and devoted wife Helene, his brother Larry, his sister Elaine Gadzos, his seven children: Lucile (Patrick McNulty), Jeffrey (Nancy McEwen-Robillard), Suzanne, Tim (Lori Chamberland), Josee, Dominique (Stewart Grant), and Patrick (Joanne McCann) and grandchildren: Melissa, Michael, Kelsey, Shannon, Matthew, Amber, Lindsay, Tyler, Olivia, Jasmine, Teya and several nieces and nephews. Roger flew for the RCAF during World War II as a member of 442 Squadron. He organized several RCAF Fighter Pilot reunions that brought together pilots from across Canada. He will also be fondly remembered for his world class tenor voice. He made several appearances on CBC-Radio with his great friend Frank Keyes. He entertained on a regular basis at Friday's Roast Beef House and the Full House Restaurant. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 1255 Walkley Road (east of Bank) Thursday, September 1st, from 4 to 9 p.m. Funeral Friday, September 2nd, to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1758 Alta Vista Drive, for Mass of Christian Funeral at 2 p.m. Interment at Beechwood Cemetery following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Soceity or to the Canadian Diabetes Assocation appreciated.
