CHESAPEAKE, Va. - Roger Paul Bedard, 93, died Sept. 30, 2011. He was born in Nashua, N.H., the son of the late Rudolph and Yvonne Bedard. Roger was a resident of Manchester, N.H., for 65 years and after retirement, he resided in Virginia. Roger was a retired glazier and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a lifetime member of Boston Local No. 1044 and DAV Chapter No. 26. Roger is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Elizabeth R. Bedard; two daughters, Denise Crittenden of Norfolk, and Kathryn A. Geick and her husband, Gordon, of Bow, N.H..; two grandchildren, Abigail E. Geick and Gavin G. Geick, both of Bow; and two sisters, Lucille Richard of Manchester, N.H., and Estelle Phelps of Bridgeport, Conn. . SERVICES: A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, Chesapeake.
