MANCHESTER -- Roger E. St. Onge, 84, died Oct. 15, 2009, at Elliot Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Manchester, May 11, 1925, to William and Mary (Royer) St. Onge. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester. During World War II he served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked as a sales representative with Nissen Bread Company, Sunbeam Bread and Genest Bakery for many years. He was a longtime communicant of St. Augustin Church and was a member of the American Legion Post 79, the Knights of Columbus Council 5260 and the Teamsters Union. He was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed woodworking and time spent with his family. He was married to Lillian T. (Lessard) St. Onge, who died in 2005. Family members include four children, Susan L. Duhaime of Manchester, Anita M. St. Onge of Portland, Maine, Gloria S. Andrews of Chichester, and Bill R. St. Onge of Amherst; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lorraine Guyette of Manchester, Jeannette Filteau of Goffstown, and Rita Duval of Merrill, Conn.; and cousins, nieces and nephews. SERVICES: Calling hours are Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Anne-St. Augustin Church, corner of Beech and Spruce streets, Manchester. Committal prayers, with military honors, will follow at St. Augustin Cemetery Chapel, South Beech Street, Manchester.
