JOHNSON, Roberta 89, much loved mother and grandmother, died of a heart attack Nov. 1, 2011. Born in Brooklyn, NY, a resident of Gulfport for 56 years, she was a parishioner at St. Jude's Cathedral. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard of 64 years. She worked in retail at Wilson Chase, Maison Blanche, Robinson's and as alterations manager at Dillards. After retiring at 80, she volunteered at Palms of Pasadena, for the Republican Party and at St. Jude's Shrine Shop. She most enjoyed playing the organ, gardening, her dog Lucy and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Richard Johnson; daughters Virginia Esquinaldo and Suzanne Pollard and seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, at 1 pm at St. Jude's Chapel, followed by committal at Bay Pines Cemetery. www.rlwilliams.com R. Lee Williams & Son 49th St. N.
