Robert Woodrow Lenox, 92, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014 at his home.He was a native of Harrison County, born Dec. 17, 1921, the son of William A. and Bessie Jolly Lenox. He was a member of Berry United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Berry Lions Club and member of the Pythian Grove Cemetery Board. A veteran of World War II, he served in the Pacific Theatre at New Guinea and the Philippine Islands, was a retired rural letter carrier and a life-long farmer.He was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn DeMoss and a brother, Lawrence Lenox.Survivors include: his wife, Dollie Bell Lenox; a son, Robert Michael (Alice) Lenox; a grandson, William Barton Lenox; a goddaughter, Stephanie (Eric) Whitson; and caregivers, Barbara and Randall Dennis, Lisa Stout and Kristy Willoughby.Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 22 at Ware Funeral Home.
