WILLIAMS _ Robert Edward "Bob", passed away quietly on Saturday, July 26, 2003, at his apartment in Langley, BC. Bob will be deeply missed by his long time companion, Doris, along with her family. Bob also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, who will also greatly miss his gentle, quiet presence and raw, dry humor. Since moving to Vancouver with his mother, dad and brother (all predeceased) in the early 20's, Bob sought his fortune in many parts of the province, finally settling into the hotel business in the late 30's. Bob worked in many well known Vancouver hotel landmarks, including the old Vancouver Hotel, The Royal Towers, The Georgia Hotel, The Biltmore and Castle hotels. Since retiring, over 30 years ago, Bob resided and made many friends in the Langley/Ft. Langley areas. Bob was a man of strong convictions. A gentle man at all times, an errant political comment always saw Bob to his feet trumpeting a spirited response. Bob, we will miss you. Rest in peace. Donations, In Bob's name, to the charity of your choice. At Bob's request, a formal Memorial Service will not be held.
