Obituary of Robert Whittaker

Whittaker, Robert E.Robert E. Whittaker, age 87, of Bridgeport, died on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at St. Vincent Medical Center. He was born in Philadelphia, PA and had been a Bridgeport and West Haven resident for most of his life. He was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran of World War II. Mr. Whittaker had been employed in defense manufacturing sales. He is survived by two sons, Robert Whittaker of Wallingford and Adam Whittaker of Bridgeport; four daughters, Lynn Pascarelli of West Haven, Laurel Centore of Clinton; Gaye Calabrese of Middletown and Elizabeth Whittaker of Bridgeport; one sister, Ruth Cable of New Hampshire; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Private interment with military honors will take place at the convenience of the family at the State Veteran's Cemetery in Middletown.
