FAIRFIELD -- Robert W. Travers, 75, of Fairfield, passed away on Thursday evening, May 9, 2013, at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Thayer Campus, in Waterville.He was born in Cambridge, Mass., on March 1, 1938, the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Ventura) Travers. He was a self-employed carpenter.Robert was a craftsman of many trades, which included woodworking, jewelry making, building homes or anything he put is mine to. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, and his boat was called the "Patricia Marie." He also loved spending time with his family.He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Fairfield Center. He enjoyed his church family.He was predeceased by his first wife Georgie.Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Cynthia Travers, of Fairfield; and their children, Chrissy Coolage and her companion, Joe McGraw, of Skowhegan, and Jim Travers and his companion, Theresa Drown, of Skowhegan; five grandchildren, Desiree, Jacob, Delenn, Kimberly and Joseph; and a great-grandson, Cayden, and a great-granddaughter, Makinzie.
