DAVIS Davis, Robert W., 78, of Miami, formerly of NY, passed away December 30, 2002. Services were held in Yonkers, NY on January 2, 2003, near his birthplace. Known as Bob or "Skip" to his many friends and associates, his life was characterized by a remarkably charismatic and caring personality, and a renowned sense of humor. A graduate of U. of Maryland, veteran of WW II trained as a frogman, and a member of the close-knit group of alumni of Camp Mooween, he went on to own several successful jewelry manufacturing businesses in NY. A family man for 30 years married to Rita Davis, he moved to Miami in 1984, where he led an active retirement revolving around friends and loved ones, as well as his passion for golf and the outdoors. He struggled throughout with heart disease, to which he finally succumbed suddenly on Dec. 30. A lifelong charitable giver, his sunny disposition will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his son, William H. Davis; daughter, Lori (Douglas) Ellis; brother, Dick Davis; sister, Eleanor (Marshall) Eisenberg; and by Gladys Ikerd.
