Barrett, Robert W. Irondequoit: June 3rd, 2009. Survived by his beloved wife of 55 years "Chris"; brother, Paul (Catherine) Barrett of NJ; sister, Virginia (Charles) Knope; nieces & nephews, Kathleen Knope, John (Sandra) Knope, Tricia Tuminelli, Michael Knope, Paul (Debra) Barrett of PA, Peggy Barrett of NJ, Amy (Darin) Werkmeister also of NJ and Christine (Jason) Flanagan of Limerick Ireland; 17 great nieces & nephews; 12 great-great nieces & nephews. Robert was a naval veteran of WWII serving in Europe & Pacific aboard Battleship Idaho. He was in the Naval hospital in England as the hospital corpsman. He retired from Kodak after 35 years in the Photo Technology Division as an artist. Friends may call Monday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the DREIER-GILTNER FUNERAL HOME INC., 1717 Portland Ave., (corner of Portland & Ridge Rd East). A Memorial Mass will be Tuesday at 9:30 AM in Christ the King Church. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, contribution can be made to Point Pleasant Volunteer Ambulance.
