Robert T. Walls, spouse of Carol Walls, died at 85 years old. Please consult the obituary here:
Robert T. Walls -->Robert "Bob" Thomas Walls passed away peacefully on March 5, at the age of 85. He is survived by his devoted wife of sixty-two years, Carol. His spirit and love of laughter is carried on by his six children, his fifteen grandchildren, his four great-grandchildren and his many friends. Bob, a native of Rockland, was a graduate of Rockland High School (1947), Portsmouth Priory (1948) and Georgetown University (1952), where he proudly represented the Hoyas as captain of the baseball team. After serving as a Lieutenant in the Marines, Bob followed his father into the shoe business working first for E.T. Wright, then Sebago, where he stayed until his retirement at age of 70. Bob and Carol were 32-year residents of Cohasset, where Bob announced games as the voice of the Skippers and was a member of the Cohasset Golf Club. After retiring, Bob and Carol enjoyed escaping the cold down in Fort Myers, Fla., where they spent their days in the company of lifelong friends playing golf and tennis. Bobs greatest joy was spending summers at Green Harbor in Marshfield, the same beach where he met Carol, surrounded by the family they had grown together. For his grandchildren there was nothing better than spending days at the beach laughing with Grampy. Whether he was playing cribbage, watching the Red Sox, telling stories at Thanksgiving or attending a grandkids sporting event or graduation the best seat in the house was always next to Bob Walls. His sense of humor and love for life was magnetic and those drawn to him always stayed close. He is survived by his children, with whom he loved to share laughter and stories, Robert T. (Joanna) Walls Jr. of Grapevine, Texas, Colleen (Stephen) Hines of Rowayton, Conn., Michael (Tricia) Walls of Scituate, Jeffrey (Stacey) Walls of Braintree, Tish (Mario) Vivado of Marshfield, and Nancy (Steve) Carell of Los Angeles, Calif. A memorial celebrating Bobs life will be held this summer at St. Anthonys Parish in Cohasset.
