UntitledROBERT RAYMOND WILLIAMS1933 - 2009Robert Raymond Williams, 75, passed away at his home on April 1, 2009. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Vonda Faye (Bonnie); parents, Ransom & Dora Williams; brothers, Allen, George, Jewel, Tubby, and J.R.; sisters, Betty and Lilly.Mr. Williams is survived by his children; Lilly (Wayne) Cain, Laurie (Eduardo Medrano) Hoffman, Rhonda (Bob) Locklin; grandchildren, Gunner & Grant Locklin, Olivia & Emily Cain; sister, Lucy Haner; sisters-in-law, Mary Williams, Sue Williams, Maxine Williams and Jimmie Williams; brother-in-law, John Haner; and many nephews, nieces and special friends.Mr. Williams joined the Marine Corp at the age of 16. He served his country proudly and was a veteran of the Korean War. He worked at Daniels Construction Company before becoming owner of National Seafood Company. Later, he joined his brother, Allen, and worked at Williams Seafood until his death.Mr. Williams loved baseball. He won the All Marine Corp Championship in 1960 with General Glasgow as his coach. He played locally with the Pensacola Flyers and won many championships. He was an exceptional pitcher and loved having Mr. Lavelle Williams as his favorite catcher and best friend.Mr. Williams was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and father-in-law. He was generous with his time and his love. Words cannot express the loss that we feel. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.A special word of thanks to Aunt Lucy and Doris Kinsley for their love and support during Dad's last days. Services will be held Sunday, April 5, 2009 at 3 PM conducted by Brother David Myers. All will be held at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel is serving the family.
