Obituary of Robert-Matthew Elliott

WWII Veteran Peacefully, Friday, March 14, 2003. Robert "Bob" Elliott age 85. Beloved husband of Bernice Elliott. Son of the late Gabriel and Ann Elliott. Brother of Sheila MacCarthy Burpee. Predeceased by brothers Justin MacCarthy Elliott and Anthony Joseph Elliott. Bob will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, family and friends. Bob was born in Ireland and emigrated to Canada with his family at 8 years old. Bob served in the navy in WWII followed by a distinguished career in the civil service. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home 1255 Walkley Road (east of Bank) Friday after 1 p.m. A Service in Memory of Mr. Elliott will be held Friday in the Chapel at 3 p.m. donations to the Perley Rideau Veterans' Health Centre Foundation, 1750 Russell Road, Ottawa, ON K1G 5Z6 appreciated.
