Memorial service for Robert Martin Elliott, who died Monday, Oct. 31, 2005, at Emory Bennet Veterans Nursing Center, will be 11 a.m. today (Monday, Nov. 7) at Crossroads Baptist Church, Ormond Beach, with Pastor Dan Proctor officiating. Mr. Elliott was born Feb. 28, 1939, in Northwood, N.H. He moved to this area in 1985 from Londonderry, N.H., where he retired as a salesman in the Florida area. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during Vietnam. He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church, Ormond Beach. His dog Lucky meant the world to him. Robert was a man who loved people. He is survived by three daughters, Elisabeth Swiriduk, Tamworth, N.H., Hope Lee Therrien, Daytona Beach, Cheryl Cushman, Port St. Lucie; two sons, Bobby Elliott and Freddie Elliott, both of New Hampshire; and grandson, Paul R. Therrien, Daytona Beach. Robert was predeceased by his wife, Shirley; his mom, Ethel Mae Currier and father, Floyd. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129 or to Crossroads Baptist Church, Ormond Beach. Arrangements are under the care and trust of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Ormond.
