Robert Murray White, 86, of Florence, died Thursday, March 22, 2007, at ECM Hospital after a brief illness.He was a native and lifelong resident of Lauderdale County, a member of Chisholm Hills Church of Christ and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.Visitation will be 2-3:30 p.m. today, March 25, 2007, at Greenview Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:30 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with burial in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating will be Willie Hamblin.Mr. White was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Young White; infant son, Murray Don White; parents, Jones and Laura White; two sisters, Mattie Sue Cole and Johnny Hayes; and two brothers, Earl and Jessie White.He is survived by two daughters, Nancy White Thornton and fiance, Kieron Morkin, Robbie Wylie and husband, Richard; son, Randy White and wife, Elaine; grandchildren, Blair Thornton and wife, Paige, Britain Cabler and husband, Adam, of Portland, Ore., Brandon White and wife, Michelle, Beth Benson and husband, Jess, and Robyn Wylie, all of Florence; step-grandchildren, Scott Crowden, Jackie Hawkins and husband, Dale; great-grandchildren, Rhodes and Alle Thornton, Bella White and Peyton Benson, all of Florence.Pallbearers will be Blair Thornton, Adam Cabler, Jess Benson, Brandon White, Larry Cole and Larry Young.Greenview Funeral Home, of Florence, is directing.
