Obituary of Robert-Lewis Whittaker

Robert Lewis Whittaker Garner, N.C. Robert Lewis Whittaker, 33, of Garner, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, March 5, 2009, at Duke Hospital in Durham. Mr. Whittaker was born on December 15, 1975, in San Antonio, TX, to Mary Sue Jernigan Lockhart and the late Robert Gerald Whittaker. He enjoyed racing and muscle cars and was a very thoughtful, warm hearted, loving and caring father, son, brother and uncle. He is survived by his mother, Mary Jernigan Lockhart, of Sanford; a long-time friend and mother of his child, Tracy Steed, of Roopville, GA; a daughter, Taylor Elizabeth Whittaker, of Roopville, GA; a brother, Daniel Whittaker, of Clinton, NC; a sister, Tara Spruill, of Garner, NC; a nephew, Austin Spruill; and a niece, Ciera Spruill. The family received friends Monday, March 9, 2009, at San Lee Chapel with the funeral immediately following with the Pastor Dale Sauls officiating.
