Obituary of Robert-Lewis Parker


Robert Lewis Parker, 78, died March 13, 2008, at his residence in Delaware, Ohio. He was born in Elyria, Ohio, and lived in Vero Beach for 27 years, coming from North Canton, Ohio. He served in the Army. Before retirement, he was a brick mason and built homes in North Canton for more than 30 years. He was a member of the Mason-Bricklayer Union Local 6 in Canton, Ohio. He was an active member of the Zion Lutheran Church in North Canton and of Grace Lutheran Church in Vero Beach. He graduated from Hoover High School in 1948. Survivors include his daughter, Roberta Sturm of Delaware; sons, Richard Parker of Rocky Point, N.C., and William Parker of Vero Beach, and Brett Parker of Delaware; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann (Sand) Parker; son, Jeffery Parker; and brother George L. Parker Jr. SERVICES: Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon March 15 at Rodman Neeper Funeral Home in Delaware, followed by a service at noon, with the Rev. Marvin Hintz officiating. Immediately following the services, the family will host a luncheon in the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home Community Room. Burial will be at a later date at Sunset Hills Cemetery in North Canton.
