Robert Leon Alexander, 79, of 407 Woodfern Circle, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, at Anderson Area Medical Center. Born in Long Beach, Miss., he was a son of the late James R. and Ella L. Wilkerson Alexander. Veteran: U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy. Survivors: Wife, Emma Lee Green Alexander; a son, Robert Alexander of Anderson; a daughter, Sandra Clawson of Liberty; a sister, Thelma Sparkman of Baytown, Texas; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
