Robert Lee Plummer, 49 WINDHAM -- Robert Lee Plummer, 49, of Windham, died June 29, 2009, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Portland on Oct. 20, 1959, the son of Earland and Arlene Plummer of East Baldwin. Formerly of Saco, Robert was a graduate of Thornton Academy. He served in the U.S. Navy and the Navy Reserves. He was employed by the US Postal service, as a Postal Clerk, for the last 25 years. He worked in Portland and Scarborough during his career. Robert was deeply devoted to his family. He was a lifelong sports fan. He excelled in sports in his younger years and continued to be an avid fan of professional sports, especially the Red Sox and Patriots. Robert loved animals, spending time with family and friends and boating and fishing at Little Sebago Lake. Robert was predeceased by step brothers, Charles and Dennis Cram. Surviving besides his parents are his twin brother, Richard Plummer and wife Donna of Stoneham, Mass.; his close companion, Melissa (Missy) Lekas of Portland; step sister Mary Baxter and her husband Randy of Raymond, and step brother Frank Cram of Windham. He is also survived by nephews, Michael and Devin Plummer of Stoneham, Mass.; and many step nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, July 1, from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Rd., Windham. Funeral service Thursday, July 2, at 9 a.m. at the funeral chapel.
