Robert Lee, born in 1914, spouse of Patricia-Jean Dignan, father of Bobbi, Denise, Greg, Rick and Brenda, died on January 15, 1929 at 15 years old.
LEE, Robert (Bob) January 15, 1929 October 4, 2008 Passed away peacefully at home after a long illness surrounded by family. Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Patricia Jean (nee Dignan), children Bobbi, Denise, Greg (Jill), Rick and Brenda (Dan); grandchildren Jacqui, Lyle, Nicole, Erin, Jason, Patrick and Taiya; greatgrandchildren Jacob, Noah, Celia and Nyla; and siblings Jeannette (Art), Betty (Nick) and Greg (Pat). Bob grew up in Vancouver. He joined the Merchant Marines in 1944 at 15 years of age. He worked in the forest industry for over thirty years. His real love was woodworking, leaving behind an amazing legacy of beautifully crafted furniture and wood projects. Self-taught, Bob also built boats, houses and remodelled kitchens. Other interests included scuba diving, hunting and fishing. Bob studied celestial navigation prior to sailing the South Pacific with his wife Pat. In his sixties, Bob got his pilot's licence and owned several airplanes. He had an irrepressible sense of adventure and humour. He will be missed. No service by request.
