AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Robert Lee Smith, 79, of 1107 Kent St., Augusta, entered into rest on Friday, November 21, 2008. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 28, 2008, 11 a.m., at the Chapel of Peoples Funeral Home with Rev. Oscar E. Wells officiating. Mr. Smith proudly served in the United States Army where he was honorable discharged with the rank of corporal. He was loved by all that came in contact with him. Survivors: wife, Hattie Mae Smith of Augusta; one son, Samuel Smith, Augusta; one brother, Johnnie (Mary Lou) Smith, Philadelphia, Pa.; two sisters, Adele Jackson, Elizabeth McDowell, both of Augusta; four grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
