ROBERT LEE JONES VALPARAISO, IN Robert Lee Jones, age 74 of Valparaiso, passed away Monday, May 27, 2013. He was born August 23, 1938 in Wheeler, the son of Floyd and Roxie (Elliott) Jones. Robert was a U.S. Army veteran, a Valparaiso High School employee, and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Surviving is his wife, Jean (Moneypenny) Jones; his children: Robert Jones, Ronald Jones, Roxanne Dolhover and Michael Jones; his step children: Richard Heavilin, William Heavilin, Cheryl Lavergne, Gary Heavilin, Jerri Wachter and Susan Powers; and many grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Knoffel Jones and Alfred (Bill) Jones; and sisters: Lillian Hill, Gladys Bolles, Armeada Barnes, June Brown, and Mary Jones. Robert enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren. He was a hardworking man who enjoyed watching baseball, working in the yard, and maintaining his vehicles. Visitation will be Thursday, May 30, 2013 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe Street, Valparaiso. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 31, 2013 at 1:30 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 201 Washington Street with The Rev. Dr. John J. Santoro officiating.
