ROBERT LARSEN - MERRITT ISLAND - Robert Nelson "Ace" Larsen, 75, died peacefully at home Monday, November 24, 2008. Bob was born in Queens Village, New York on November 27, 1932. He retired from Grumman Aerospace after 36 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was predeceased by his parents, Nelson and Margaret Fergus Larsen; a daughter, Patricia Ann; and his sister, Dorothy Muller. Ace is survived by his wife of 54 years, Georgia; daughter, Lynne Larsen Schrier of Jacksonville; son Robert, Jr. of Columbia, SC; four grandchildren, Kerry Larsen, William Vicars, Lauren and Paul Schrier; great-granddaughter, Desiree Vicars; and an aunt, Dorothy Fergus LaPasta of Milford, PA. He was an avid golfer and member of Rockledge Country Club, Merritt Island Moose Lodge 2073 and Grumman Retirees. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, November 29, 2008 at the Moose Lodge, 3150 North Courtenay Parkway, Merritt Island with a reception to follow. Funeral Solutions of Cocoa is in charge of arrangements.
