LAWTON, Robert "Bob" V. 1931 - 2012 Bob passed away peacefully, in Calgary, on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at the age of 81 years. He was born in Parry, Saskatchewan and moved to Calgary in 1950 where he worked as an automotive mechanic for several companies and dealerships including the City of Calgary Police Department from 1976 until his retirement in 1995. He was married to Anne in 1952 and together they had four children. He is survived by his four children: Cathy (Ahmad) Meer, Dave (Beth) Lawton, Ed Lawton and Fay (Brian) Bartel; six grandchildren: Sherri (Dwayne), Kelsie, Linnea, Lindsay, Garett and Bryson and his two great-grandchildren: Brayden and Kira. Bob was predeceased by his beloved wife, Anne, of 56 years as well as his brother Frank. Tributes in Bob's name may be made directly to the Alberta Children's Hospital or The Canadian Cancer Society.
