ROBERT L. WOODARD, 73Salesman LAKELAND - Mr. Robert L. Woodard, 73, died of cancer Monday (Aug. 24, 2009). Born in Smith County, Tenn., on Feb. 24, 1936, he came here to Lakeland from there in 1945. He was a salesman and attended Abundant Life Church of God. Mr. Woodard was preceded in death by his daughter Cindy Helms. He is survived by his wife Lenora L. Woodard, Lakeland; daughters Debbie Carpenter, Avon Park, Elaine Leach, Kathleen; brothers Raymond Woodard, Jason Woodard, both of Lakeland, Larry Woodard, Lancaster, TN; sisters Opal Dansby, Reatha McLeod, both of Lakeland, Sue Platt, Kathleen, Doris Williams, Ocoee, FL., Lillie Alverson, Lakeland, Jewel Kinser, Cleveland, TN.; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday at Abundant Life Church of God. Services will follow at 3 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in Socrum Cemetery. Lanier Funeral Home.
