JOHNSON, ROBERT L., 70, died Friday, October 3, 2008 at Kindred Hospital in Louisville. He is the retired owner of Proudbird Aircraft Interiors, a veteran of the Army Reserves, a pilot, with Quiet Birdmen, an admiral of the Cherry River Navy of West Virginia, a Kentucky Colonel, a Kentucky Commodore, a booster with the Flying Fezzes, an admiral of the fleet of Pleasure Boats and an honorary captain of the Bell of Louisville. Survivors include his wife, Carol Johnson, Sellersburg, IN; daughter, Kathy Norton (John), Corydon, IN; brother, James Johnson (Frances), Lewisville, NC; and three grandchildren, Christopher, Sarah and Jonathan. Cremation was chosen. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 11, 2008. Memorial contributions can take the form of donations to the Clark County Humane Society.
