JOHNSON, ROBERT, 70, of Okolona, was born February 6, 1938 to the late Edward and Ethel L. Fisher Johnson and returned to his Heavenly Father February 3, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Johnson was a retired employee for Ford Truck Plant and a member of Little Flock Baptist Church. Among those who preceded him in death include his parents; wife, Patsy Johnson; brother, Joe Johnson; sister, Dorothy Johnson. He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Rick Johnson (Susan), Jimmy Johnson, Darrell Harrod (Sandy), Ronnie Harrod (DeeDee) and Steve Harrod (Diane); daughter, Donna Becke (Tom); and very dear friend, Barbara Nunley. He was "Popie" to 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects from 1-8 p.m. Thursday at Schoppenhorst. He will be greatly missed and he will be in our hearts forever.
