Robert "Bob" Johnson, 71, Springfield, Mo., passed away on Monday, November 10, in Springfield, Mo. He was born on June 16, 1937, in Leavenworth, Kan. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons after 21 years of service. Bob was united in marriage to Judith A. Vestal Johnson. He was a member of the Masonic Order and he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Bob is survived by his wife; his children, Robert and Summer Johnson and David and Kelly Decker; six grandchildren, Alex, Rylie, Breann, Luke, Katie and Houston; three brothers, four sisters, several nieces and nephews; and close friend, Carl Fisher. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, November 14, in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Burial will follow. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2008. The family suggests memorial donations be made to Shriners Hospital.
