Obituary of Robert-J. Morin


ALBANY, NY -- Robert J. Morin Sr., 74, died May 20, 2005 at St. Peter's Hospital. Born December 18, 1930 to Gladys Davis and John J. Morin in Killingly, Conn. (Danielson). He was predeceased by his wife Gwendlyn and his grandson, Timothy Shelly. He retired from SUNY Albany and was a life member of the Wadworths Masonic Lodge, Albany Elks, Albany Moose and PACC. He is survived by his mother, Gladys Morin Ritz; his sister, Carolyn (Dallen) Filyaw, his brother, Donald (Natalie) Morin; his children, Patricia (Thomas) Collins, Robert J. Morin Jr., Michael J. Morin, Pamela (Timothy) Shelly, Kathleen (James) Brown, Mary (Robert) Cranker and Tammy (Michael) Foster; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A special thank you to the staff of 5 McCauley at St. Peter's Hospital, Dr. Carmen Giuliano and his staff, Bea and Dave of Child Home Health, Bright Horizons Day Program, Lincare Staff, Dr. Fabregas, Dr. Schumacher, Dr. Shoen and Dr. Barada. His body has been donated to the Albany Medical College Anatomical Gift Program. A memorial service, Tuesday, May 24, 6:00 p.m., St. Francis de Sales Church, Exchange Street, West Albany. Donations may be made in his memory to the Albany Medical College, Albany, NY 12208. Published in the Albany Times Union on 5/22/2005.
