LEE - Robert J., 85, of Manchester, died Monday at Manchester Manor Nursing Home. Born in Bronx, NY, he joined the Army in 1939 and served during WWII and retired as Captain in 1948. He lived in Fairlawn for 25 years. He worked as an advertising executive for 25 years for Spencer Advertising in New York, NY. He also worked for Lehn and Fina AKA Sterling Pharmaceuticals for 4-1/2 years as an Office Manager before retiring in 1977. He moved to Leisure Village West, Manchester in 1978. He was a Past Commander of both the Fairlawn VFW Post #281 and Post #7904 of Leisure Village West, Manchester. Surviving is his wife of 61 years, Joanna R. McKeon Lee. Son, Robert J. Jr. of Andover, NJ. Daughters, Joanna R. Hedderick of Long Valley, and Ellen E. Tully of Navesink. Brother, William Lee of Waynes Boro, VA and Sister Lucille Lee of Lodi, NJ. Also two grandchildren, Kirsten Merino and Melissa Hensley and 5 great-grandchildren. Visitation is Thursday from 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Rd., Manchester, with interment to follow at Brdgr Gen Wm. C. Doyle NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
