Pubic Works ManagerLAKE WALES -- Mr. Robert Harrington of Lake Wales died of cancer Wednesday (Sept. 6, 2006) at home. He was 70.He was born in Langdon, N.D., on Feb. 9, 1936. He was a manager of public works and ITT on Midway Island. He also owned Harrington Pressure Cleaning. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the VFW. He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Lake Wales. He was a member of Wayside Baptist Church.Mr. Harrington is survived by his wife, Gail Harrington; stepdaughter, Teresa Klopfer, Akron, Ohio; sons, Greg Harrington, Chad Harrington, both of Scottsdale, Ariz., Mark Harrington, Lavonia, Ga.; stepson, Daniel Vance II, Oklahoma City, Okla.; 16 grandchildren.Visitation will be from 2 to 4 this afternoon and 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Marion Nelson Funeral Home of Lake Wales. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Wayside Baptist Church of Lake Wales. Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, or Good Shepherd Hospice.
